Mumbai: ‘Dhadak 2’ stuck in the censor board for the last six months has finally got a certificate. However, the censor board has put heavy pressure on the film and suggested amendment by cutting 16 scenes and dialogues.

The film’s team regretted that these dialogues and scenes were very important in the film which talks about class discrimination. Not removing it will make the film very weak. A verse by poet Tulsidas has been removed from the film. A dialogue has been removed which said that the pending case of three thousand years will not be completed in 70 years.

In the remake ‘Dhadak 2’ of the original South film ‘Periyum Perumal’, there is a pair of today’s well-known actors like Siddhant Chaturvedi and Trupti Dimri. The film was scheduled to release in November 2024, but the film was stopped after the censor board raised a red flag on gender-influential dialogues and scenes.
