Prior to its expected premiere in India, Zeenat Aman has expressed her support for the first film, Stolen, directed by Karan Tejpal. The video explores the horrific problem of child kidnapping in rural India and has received praise from all across the world. She expressed her excitement for the movie while sharing the poster on her Instagram stories.

Zeenat Aman wrote, “I’ve been reading nothing but positive things about @karantejpal94’s first movie, Stolen! I’m happy to hear that it has found a home on Amazon and am looking forward to viewing it shortly. Two years after its Venice Film Festival debut, independent thriller Stolen is about to arrive on the internet platform. Abhishek Banerjee plays the protagonist in Karan Tejpal’s directorial debut, Stolen, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video in India on June 4, 2025. Supported by Nikkhil Advani, Kiran Rao, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Anurag Kashyap, the film chronicles the dramatic journey of two brothers who witness the abduction of a child.

The movie received a lot of praise when it debuted at the 80th Venice Film Festival in 2023. The story revolves around Gautam and Raman, two metropolitan brothers whose lives are drastically altered when they come across a baby being abducted by a makeshift mother. The brothers accompany the mother on a risky quest to find the infant, which forces them to face the hardness of life and the evil of society, which puts their humanity, fortitude, and trust to the test.

According to PTI sources, Kiran Rao said of the movie, “Stole combines a deep, humane core with an exciting narrative tension.” “Her vulnerability and resilience are a reminder of the strength that lies in the most unexpected places,” Rao said, describing how the mother’s character remained with her for a long time. She went on to say that Stolen is a unique movie that draws viewers in and challenges them to think more deeply with each shot. Anurag Kashyap added to Rao’s remarks by describing the movie as powerful, uncompromising, emotionally unvarnished, and unrelenting, capturing his attention from the first frame on.

Shubham, Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, and Sahidur Rahaman have significant parts in the movie in addition to Abhishek Banerjee. Amazon Prime Video shared the movie’s poster on Monday with the caption, “A missing child and a thrilling race against time. #StolenonPrime, June 4.”
