The 69th league match of IPL 2025 was played between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians (MI vs PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In the match, Punjab, captained by Shreyas Iyer, won by 7 wickets. With this win, Punjab was decided to play Qualifier-1 and Mumbai's dream was shattered. So let's know due to which mistakes in the match, Mumbai Indians, captained by Hardik Pandya, had to face defeat.

1- Weak batting (MI vs PBKS)

In the match, Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl. Mumbai, who came on the field to bat first, put 184/7 runs on the board in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav played the biggest innings for the team, scoring 57 runs in 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from Surya, no other batsman of the team could even cross the 30-run mark.

If any other player apart from Surya had played a big innings, the team would have crossed the 200-run mark, which would not have been easy for Punjab Kings to chase.

2- Bad fielding (MI vs PBKS)

During the batting of Punjab Kings, who came on the field to chase the runs in the match, poor fielding was seen from Mumbai Indians. At the beginning of the innings, many catches were dropped from Mumbai, due to which Punjab could not get early setbacks. If the catches were caught, it would not have been easy for Punjab Kings to chase.

3- Bad bowling

Good bowling was seen from Mumbai in the first few overs, but as the match progressed, the bowler's rhythm seemed to be deteriorating. If the Mumbai bowlers, captained by Hardik Pandya, had bowled well and taken wickets of Punjab in the beginning, then the run chase would not have been easy at all for the opposing team.
