University of Mumbai Admission 2025: The University of Mumbai will issue its first merit list for first-year degree admissions on Tuesday, May 27, at 5 p.m. Candidates can download the merit list from the official website of the University of Mumbai at mu.ac.in. Admissions for the 2025–2026 academic year are included in this list for all 850 affiliated colleges and independent schools.

An outstanding number of students took part in the online admissions process, which began on May 8. 2,53,370 students signed up for pre-admission, while 8,11,643 applications were filed for various undergraduate programs.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and a directive from the Maharashtra government dated April 20, 2023, are followed in the admissions procedure. It offers three-year degree programs, four-year Honours and Honours with Research programs, and five-year integrated programs with numerous entry and exit points.

"All colleges must strictly adhere to the admission schedule, in accordance with government and University of Mumbai norms," said Pooja Raudale, director of the board of examinations and evaluation. She noted that all admissions will be based on course capacity, reservation regulations, and eligibility requirements, as outlined by the University Grants Commission and the state government.

Next to the merit list, institutions will provide information concerning document verification, fee payment, and the final admissions procedure. Some institutions may require you to visit their official website for more information on finishing the admissions procedure.

Mumbai University Admission 2025: How To Check the First Merit List 2025?

Step 1: Visit the official website of Mumbai University site at mu.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the “Admissions 2025–26" section or go to the “First Year Degree College Merit List" link.

Step 3: After this, a list of all the affiliated colleges will appear.

Step 4: Now, applicants have to click on the name of the college they applied to.

Step 5: Next, click on the “First Merit List (2025)" link and then the list will open as a PDF file.

Step 6: After this, use the search bar or press ‘Ctrl + F’ to find the name or application number in the list.
