The date of the UP PCS Mains Exam has been released by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. This time the exam will be conducted from 29th June.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially announced the date of the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services Examination i.e. UPPSC PCS Main Exam 2025. Candidates who have passed the preliminary examination can now start preparing for the main examination. This exam will be conducted in two shifts in Prayagraj and Lucknow from 29th June to 2nd July 2025. This time 947 posts are to be recruited under PCS.

According to the information released by UPPSC, this time 15,066 candidates will appear in the main examination. The examination will be conducted in two sessions - the first session from 9 am to 12 noon and the second session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The examination will start on June 29, in which the examination of General Hindi will be taken in the first session and Essay Writing in the second session. On June 30, there will be General Studies - Paper 1 in the first session and General Studies - Paper 2 in the second session. General Studies Papers 3 and 4 will be held on July 1, while Papers 5 and 6 will be held on July 2.

How will be the pattern

The commission has also clarified the pattern of the main examination. This exam will be of total 1500 marks. There will be 6 papers of General Studies, each paper will be of 200 marks. Apart from this, the examination of General Hindi and Essay Writing will be of 150-150 marks. The special thing is that General Studies Papers 5 and 6 will be based on the state of Uttar Pradesh, in which questions related to the state will be asked.

Admit card will come soon

Now talking about the admit card, the commission will soon release it on its official website. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by visiting uppsc.up.nic.in. For this, they will have to enter their registration number and date of birth. It will be necessary to carry a valid photo identity card along with the admit card to the examination centre, otherwise permission will not be given to appear in the exam.
