Mumbai: In Sanatan Dharma, the Navratri dedicated to Goddess Durga holds immense spiritual and religious importance. Devotees across India observe nine sacred days of intense devotion, worshipping the divine feminine energy, popularly known as Maa Bhavani. It is widely believed that those who worship the Goddess with true devotion during this period are blessed with relief from sorrow and enjoy a life as blissful as heaven on earth.

While the more widely celebrated Navratri festivals take place in the Hindu months of Chaitra (spring) and Ashwin (autumn), there are two additional, lesser-known but highly potent Navratris known as Gupt Navratri, observed in the months of Magh and Ashadha. Unlike the public rituals of the main Navratris that honour the nine forms of Durga, Gupt Navratri is marked by the worship of the ten Mahavidyas—ten powerful and secretive forms of the Goddess—making it a deeply mystical and spiritually charged period for tantric practices and personal transformation.
