Tom Cruise ’s latest spy thriller Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has continued its strong box office performance in India. The film on Tuesday, collected a total of Rs 77.10 crore at the end of Day 11, according to data from sacnilk.com.
The film, which marks Cruise’s final appearance as Ethan Hunt in the long-running franchise, opened to a powerful response from Indian audiences. It earned Rs 33.5 crore in just the first two days and wrapped up its opening week with collections of Rs 54.4 crore.
Though earnings saw a dip on Day 7 with Rs 3.9 crore, the second weekend brought renewed momentum. The film grossed approximately Rs 7 crore on its second Saturday and Rs 7.25 crore on Sunday. However, collections dropped to Rs 2.5 crore on Monday and dipped further to Rs 2.25 crore on Tuesday, bringing the total domestic collection to Rs 77.10 crore.
The film maintained a good 22.96% occupancy rate for its English screenings, reflecting steady audience interest despite the minor weekday slowdown. Of the total collections of the film, an estimated Rs 49 crore has been collected from just English shows.
While The Final Reckoning is performing well, it currently trails behind the franchise’s previous instalment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which amassed Rs 80.6 crore in its opening week and ended its India run with an estimated Rs 131.25 crore.
As the film powers on to complete its second week, it will be interesting to see if it can maintain its pace and close the gap with its predecessor’s record-setting numbers.
