The league stage of the Indian Premier League 2025 has ended and it's time for the playoff stage. The matchups were decided only after the last league match on Tuesday.

The Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings were the first two teams to be eliminated from the race to the playoffs. Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals followed.

In that high-stakes encounteron Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru took on the already-eliminated Lucknow Super Giants with a top-two finish on the line. RCB, led by stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma, rose to the occasion with a thrilling six-wicket victory.

The win propelled RCB to second place on the points table with 19 points, equal with table-toppers Punjab Kings, but behind on net run rate. Gujarat Titans claimed third with 18 points, while Mumbai Indians secured the fourth spot with 16.

Punjab Kings (RCB), who topped the table, will face the second-placed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1 on Thursday, while Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in Eliminator on Friday. Both matches will be played in Mullanpur

Qualifier 1: Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru - May 29, Chandigarh

Eliminator: Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians - May 30, Chandigarh

Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator - June 1, Ahmedabad

Final: Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2 - June 3, Ahmedabad

Road IPL 2025 final

The winner of the Qualifier 1 will enter dirtectly to the final, while the losing team from Qualifier 1 will face the winner of Eliminator in Qualifier 2, on June 1, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The same venue will host the final on June 3.
