Sandeep Reddy Vanga , the maverick director known for hits like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh , and the recent blockbuster Animal, is often in the limelight for his intense films and the controversies surrounding them. But away from the public glare, Vanga leads a quiet family life with his wife, Manisha Reddy .
The couple married in 2014 and have two children — a son named Arjun Reddy (yes, after his debut film) and a daughter born in 2020. Interestingly, not much is publicly known about Manisha, who keeps a low profile. Despite being married to one of India’s most talked-about filmmakers, she has stayed largely away from the media spotlight and even keeps her Instagram account private.
Manisha’s Reaction to Animal
In a rare mention, Sandeep Reddy Vanga opened up about his wife’s reaction to ‘Animal’, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer that became one of 2023’s most discussed films. While audiences were gripped by its raw storytelling, Manisha reportedly felt the film had “too much bloodshed.”
Beyond critiques, Vanga has often credited Manisha and his family for supporting him during challenging times — particularly when he was navigating financial troubles in the early days of Arjun Reddy. Their quiet but strong partnership has played a key role in grounding the director as he moves from project to project, balancing fame with family life.
What’s Next?
Vanga’s next ambitious project is ‘Spirit’, an action-packed film starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. Originally, Deepika Padukone was attached to the project, but she was reportedly dropped after some disagreements. Currently in its final scripting stage, Spirit promises to be a high-octane action drama with Prabhas undergoing a major physical transformation to play a lean and intense cop.
