Former Marxist Communist Lahanu Kom Passes Away News in Hindi: Senior tribal leader and former Marxist MP of India (Marxist) Comrade Lahanu Kom died on Wednesday due to poor health. The party gave this information. Kom was 86 years old and had been an MP from the then Dahanu Lok Sabha constituency in the district. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital for the last ten days.

According to the party, Kom was also a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and also took over as the former state vice -president of the All India Kisan Sabha.

Kom Adivasi Pragati Mandal, who was a lifetime advocate of tribal rights, was also an institution working to provide education to tribal children. He is survived by his wife Hemlata, son Subodh and daughter Sunanda.
