The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is presently in charge of providing fundamental amenities and general development in 32 industrial regions in Uttar Pradesh. A thorough action plan has been developed by UPSIDA with the goal of revitalizing and enhancing these industrial areas.

With ten industrial zones included in the plan, the Ghaziabad regional office is in charge of the greatest number of them. Six regions are managed by the regional office in Agra, four by Lucknow, three each by Gorakhpur, Meerut, and Kanpur, two by Bareilly, and one by Prayagraj, an industrial sector.

In the past, the corresponding municipal corporations were tasked with keeping these industrial districts clean and provide necessary services. However, businessmen are concerned since problems like rubbish disposal have continued because of their carelessness. These concerns were brought to light at UPSIDA’s regional workshops.

UPSIDA has recently taken aggressive measures in response to orders from Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Minister of Industrial Development. Solid waste management is the main emphasis of the plan’s first phase, according to CEO Mayur Maheshwari. Numerous businesses have already been shortlisted in the selection process that the authorities started for garbage disposal providers. In order to restore cleanliness across all 32 industrial locations, rubbish management services will shortly be implemented.

UPSIDA works to establish industrial zones across the state via its ten regional offices.

The action plan covers the following industrial areas:

-Agra Region: Foundry Nagar, EPIP, Sikandara Sites A, B, and C, Mathura Site-A

-Gorakhpur Region: Gorakhpur, Khalilabad, Mau

-Meerut Region: Sports Goods Complex, Partapur, Udyogpuram

-Ghaziabad Region: Sector-22 Meerut Road Loha Mandi, Jeevan Bihar; Site-1 Bulandshahar Road; Site-2 Loni Road; Site-3 Meerut Road; Site-4 Sahibabad; SSGT Road; Udyog Kunj; Loni Estate, Kavi Nagar

-Lucknow Region: Raebareli Sites 1 and 2, Amausi, and Sarojini Nagar

-Kanpur Region: Chakeri, Ruma, Panki Sites 1–5

-Bareilly Region: Gajraula (Amroha), Parsakheda

-Prayagraj Area: Industrial Area of Naini
