Enzo Maresca and Chelsea are targeting European history on Wednesday evening as they look to finish the season with silverware. Fresh from securing a top-five finish in the Premier League table last weekend, the Blues now face Real Betis in the Conference League final in Wroclaw, Poland.

If men are to prevail in the European final on Wednesday evening then they will become the first team to win all five of UEFA's major club competitions.

Winning the Champions League on two occasions, Europa League and Super Cup, Chelsea also triumphed in the now defunct UEFA Cup Winners' Cup back in 1998 after beating VfB Stuttgart in Stockholm. Now they can complete the set by winning the Conference League that was introduced for the first time in 2021.

The winner of the game between Chelsea and Real Betis will pocket £5.860million in prize money, with the runner-up taking home £3.348million. As things stand right now, Chelsea have already banked £9.830million in prize money in the Conference League so far after progressing all the way to the final.

Clubs who reached the 36-team league phase all earned £2.653million and they had the opportunity to top up their money by securing £334,000 for a league phase win and £111,000 for a league phase draw. Chelsea's run of winning all six league phase matches saw them pocket £2.004million and that figure was topped up even further for their progress in the competition.

The Blues earned £844,000 for finishing top of table as each position in the standings was worth just over £23,000. They also claimed £146,000 from their initial play-off round participation and a top-eight finish secured another £334,000.

Chelsea were to the boost the coffers even further in the knockout phase as they secured £669,000 for reaching the round of 16, £1.088million for making the quarter-finals and £2.092million for the semi-finals. The current £9.830million figure will increase to either £15.690million or £13.178million on Wednesday evening, with a further £15.587million to be added to that for their Champions League qualification for next season.

The Conference League may not be the most lucrative competition in the world but Chelsea can certainly put the money to good use in the transfer market as they look to kick on even further in 2025/26.
