75-year-old Hong Kong actress Nancy Sit has rekindled her romantic relationship with her boyfriend Andy, who is 17 years younger.

According to The StarSingaporean Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Zaobao reported that Sit and Andy had been together for 12 years before they separated due to Sit’s initial concerns about their significant age difference. However, in a recent interview with Hong Kong media personality Stephen Chan, Sit spoke warmly about Andy and expressed hope for their enduring love.

“I hope our love will be eternal,” she said. “He has many options, yet he’s treated me so well all these years.”

Sit revealed that she was initially hesitant to accept Andy’s affections, worried his feelings might not last. She also admitted that the age gap troubled her, especially considering the reality that she may leave this world before he does.

“I even talked to my eldest daughter, who told me not to worry and just enjoy the present moment,” Sit added.

She said her children have warmly accepted Andy, who often joins the family on trips.

“It’s rare to have such a sweet experience at this stage in my life,” she said. “Whenever I face difficulties, you’re there to share the burden. Meeting you has been such a blessing. I hope we can continue to be as loving and blissful.”

Despite their strong bond, Sit has no plans to remarry, wanting to avoid the complications that come with divorce—an experience she has gone through before. She divorced businessman Shek Bo Hing in 1995, with whom she shares two daughters and a son.

Sit’s career began in the 1960s when she was a popular teen idol alongside Connie Chan and Josephine Siao. She recorded many albums in her youth and later served as a mentor to Anita Mui, one of Hong Kong’s biggest superstars.

She is best known for her roles in TV dramas such as “A Kindred Spirit,” “Return Of The Cuckoo,” and “Virtues Of Harmony.”
