On Thursday morning, a truck and an automobile crashed at the Iranchi Bridge on National Highway 116B in West Bengal, killing five people and badly injuring three more. Devastating impact resulted from the collision, which happened as the car was turning towards Kathi.
According to reports, all of the victims lived in the Kathi region. According to witnesses, the car was so badly damaged in the crash that many people were trapped inside. While police teams from Khajuri and Marishda stations came quickly to conduct rescue operations, locals and bystanders hurried to assist.
The wounded were taken right away to hospitals in Tamluk and Kathi, where they are now being treated. For rescue efforts, police from the Khajuri and Marishda stations were on the scene.
