Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India]: NLC India Limited (NIL), a Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Coal, has placed a sizable domestic order worth Rs60.90 Cr with Supreme Power Equipment Limited (SPEL), (NSE Code: SUPREMEPWR), one of the top producers of power and distribution transformers. As the first order ever given to Supreme Power Equipment by NLC India Limited, the order, which was granted on May 26, 2025, represents a significant milestone.

Under the deal, inverter duty transformers that meet NIL’s requirements will be supplied. These transformers are essential parts of thermal and renewable power systems, where they convert and condition power output for steady distribution and grid integration.
