Despite being muffled by sorrow, Sidhu Moosewala’s voice still reverberates—through millions of hearts, automobile speakers, and headphones. Fans worldwide have rekindled their demand for justice on the third anniversary of his tragic passing.

Timelines became digital monuments as a result of the deluge of tributes to the late singer-rapper on social media, particularly X (previously Twitter). As admirers honored the superstar with heartfelt edits, lyrical montages, interview footage, and recollections connected to songs like 295, The Last Ride, and So High, the hashtag #JusticeForSidhuMoosewala became popular. For many, it was a demand rather than just a remembering. a call to uphold his legacy and guarantee that those culpable for his demise face consequences.

However, this emotional outburst is not exclusive to the digital realm. Days before this solemn occasion, Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, made a startling announcement: he will run for the Punjab state Assembly in 2027 from the Mansa seat, which is where his son’s legend began.

He underlined that the move was motivated by a commitment to seek justice for his son, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, rather than political ambition. During a public speech, he said, “This is not just about Sidhu—it’s about every parent who has been denied closure, every family that is waiting for justice.”

He was very irritated because many of the accused are still above the law three years after the assassination. As a parent who refuses to allow his son’s murder to be dismissed as a cold case, his political entrance is both a protest and a pledge.

The cruel and premeditated murder of Sidhu Moosewala at Mansa, Punjab, on May 29, 2022, stunned the country and decimated his following around the globe. He was just twenty-eight. Soon after the murder, Goldy Brar, a prominent member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and a Canadian criminal, made a terrifying speech in which he claimed responsibility for the killing. The killing silenced a generational voice in addition to the loss of an artist.

Many admirers saw Moosewala’s parents’ IVF birth of a second child a year after the tragedy as a spiritual continuation of Sidhu’s brightness, marking a fresh beginning created out of suffering.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was born on June 11, 1993, in the hamlet of Moosa in the Mansa region of Punjab. He was a movement more than just a musician. After earning a degree in electrical engineering, he relocated to Canada to pursue more education, where he first started experimenting with rap. However, what started out as an experiment quickly grew into something more significant. Sidhu Moosewala became well-known very fast because of his distinctive baritone, honest lyrics, and blend of Punjabi traditional music with hip-hop and drill sounds. His songs transformed the ordinary into poetry and the political into the personal by often discussing identity, social justice, power, and personal suffering.

Sidhu blazed a trail that no one else dared to follow with singles like So High, Legend, Selfmade, Old Skool, Just Listen, and 295. In a field that is sometimes controlled by formulaic pop, he paved the way for strong, independent Punjabi voices, defied conventions in the Indian music business, and maintained his own against criticism. He worked with musicians from many countries and genres, gaining recognition as a visionary as well as a performer. He continued to be outspoken without apology in spite of controversy and efforts at suppression.
