The second edition of Accel’s flagship AI Summit, which brings together some of the brightest minds in artificial intelligence from India and beyond, will take place in Bengaluru on June 4, the global venture capital company said Thursday.
The invitation-only event, which has as its topic “Engineering India’s AI Advantage,” will bring together prominent AI entrepreneurs, academics, IT CXOs, policymakers, and international investors. The objective is to spur fresh concepts, alliances, and structures that strengthen India’s position in influencing the world of artificial intelligence.
According to Nasscom, the AI industry in India is expected to develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 25% to reach $17 billion by 2027. Indian innovation is rapidly leading the way in industries including healthcare, banking, and retail thanks to its distinct data advantages and expanding network of vertical AI businesses.
According to Prayank Swaroop, a partner at Accel, “India’s AI ecosystem is evolving rapidly, with application-layer AI now delivering real value to enterprises.”
“Founders are creating unique, domain-specific models by using India’s data edge. The goal of this conference is to highlight that momentum and provide the frameworks necessary for Indian AI businesses to grow internationally,” he said.
Professor Balaraman Ravindran (IIT Madras), Geetha Manjunath (Founder and CEO, Health Analytix), Kalika Bali (Senior Principal Researcher, Microsoft Research India), Ashish Vaswani (Co-founder and CEO, Essential AI), Abhishek Singh (Additional Secretary, MeitY), Sharad Sanghi (CEO, Neysa), Pranav Mistry (Founder and CEO, TWO AI), and Vas Natarajan (Partner, Accel) are among the featured speakers.
The first Forbes x Accel AI 30 list, which honors Indian-origin trailblazers in AI spanning research, entrepreneurship, and corporate impact, will also be unveiled that evening.
