Elisabeth Hasselbeck has made it official that she will not be appearing on the next 50th season of Survivor , ending rumors of her return to the reality competition show. The former co-host of The View and Survivor: The Australian Outback vet spoke out about the rumors in a tongue-in-cheek video posted on her Instagram Stories over the weekend.
“No, I’m not doing Survivor. That is funny though,” Hasselbeck told her followers, while showing a poolside view behind her. “I’m not doing that. I’m gonna be back there with, like, snacks instead.”
She went on, "I'll be gardening … and doing some creative projects which I'll share with you, but it does not involve Fiji or Survivor. I'm not doing that. I wanna be with my family and a burger in the backyard.
Survivor season 50 promises to be a milestone season for the long-time CBS reality program. The show will have an all-returning player cast and has encouraged fans to vote on what makes up the gameplay, making it the most participatory season so far.
Hasselbeck had earlier participated on the show's second season, Survivor: The Australian Outback, which was broadcast in 2001. She was eliminated in the fourth position and went on to pursue a television career, including her position as a co-host on The View.
In 2002, Hasselbeck also got married to then-NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck. The two enjoyed their 22nd wedding anniversary in July 2024 and are blessed with three children: a daughter named Grace and two sons, Taylor and Isaiah.
Though she won't be back in the Survivor ring, Hasselbeck suggested that she is more concerned with family life and personal pursuits, none of which at present involve a return to Fiji or reality TV.
