TV presenter revealed how she shed two stones after in 2018 landed her in the hospital. The 77-year-old "needed two life-saving blood transfusions" after she "nearly died" from a ruptured stomach ulcer.

Judy has since unveiled how she worked alongside , to make better lifestyle choices, which helped her keep the pounds off. The Richard and Judy star previously explained how taking an ibuprofen left her with a stomach ulcer, and she could have seen her "bleed out within half an hour' without medical intervention. She recalled: "I nearly died. Totally out of the blue, never experienced anything like it before, and hope to god, I never will again.

"I survived thanks to exceptionally swift arrivals and skilled ambulance crew and superb emergency treatment at London's Royal Free Hospital and two major life-saving blood transfusions," Judy added.

As a result, Chloe put together a revised programme focused on healthy eating and exercise saw her lose two stone.

The 34-year-old reportedly put her mother on a reduced daily calorie intake plan, managed by smaller portions, and eating less but more often plus regular exercise

According to a source via Bella magazine claimed: "Judy has had a few underlying medical conditions over the years, and losing weight has had a significant impact on her general health.

At the time, Chloe shared that her mother did most of the work naturally, and the healthier food choices had already been incorporated into her diet.

The personal trainer said: "Her palate is changing as she's getting older, and I think she was always a kind of meat and potatoes kind of girl.

"I actually haven't had anything to do with it. I was as surprised as anyone else when I opened the fridge on coming home on the weekend and saw superfood salads and soups, I thought, 'what the hell is going on!'"

She added to MailOnline: "I have to say her diet is now amazing. Her palate has changed. She has got into sushi, raw fish and whole grain salad. She has dropped the pounds naturally."
