For the first time, the State is using the PPP model to establish major industrial parks. To do this, it has issued a notice seeking bids for the construction, management, and upkeep of large industrial parks, each spanning between 290 and 500 acres.

A little more than 4,000 acres have been earmarked for allocation in regions along the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor and the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC), a senior APIIC official told Bizz Buzz. The planned industrial parks are situated close to several industrial nodes that are suggested under the corridors. An Expression of Interest (EoI) bid deadline of June 6 has been established.

Atchutapuram, Thimmasamudram, Kosalanagaram, Guttapadu, Komarolu, Jayanthipuram, Kothapalli, Donakonda, Santhabommali, and RouthuSuramala Industrial Clusters are the locations of the planned parks.

In order to encourage investments in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, toys, electric vehicles, semiconductors, defense and aerospace, food processing, agro-processing and aqua-processing, leather, textiles, targeted products, parks for downstream industries with changing needs, and drone manufacturing industries, the authorities plan to create sector-specific parks.
