JEE Main 2025: The counselling schedule for special and supernumerary rounds through Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE Main) 2025 has been announced by the Central Selection Allocation Board (CSAB). Through this counselling process, candidates will get an opportunity to get admission to B.Tech programs in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IITs), and other participating institutes.
This counselling, which is based on the score obtained in JEE Main 2025, also has special supernumerary rounds. The purpose of these supernumerary rounds is to provide opportunities, especially to those candidates who belong to the Union Territories of India - Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Supernumerary seats reserved in these colleges
Students should keep in mind that through these supernumerary seats, special seats have been reserved in prestigious institutes like NIT Durgapur, NIT Calicut, and Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT Surat). Only those candidates will get admission on these seats who come from the above-mentioned Union Territories and who have scored the eligibility marks in JEE Main 2025.
This special arrangement is done to provide opportunities in technical education to the students of these areas and increase representation in national institutes. All eligible candidates should visit the official website of CSAB to check the complete details of supernumerary rounds, seat matrices, and counseling schedules so that they can participate in the registration and choice-filling process in time.
