AFCAT 2 2024 Merit List: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the final merit of the Air Force Joint Admission Test 2 2024. This list contains the names of a total of 665 candidates who have been recommended by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) for various branches. The concerned candidates can view and download the merit list by visiting the official website. These candidates will now start their training at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal in July 2025.

What does the merit list indicate?
The AFSB-recommended merit list contains the names of all the candidates in the order of merit. However, it does not guarantee final selection. The final appointment depends on these steps:

Medical Fitness

Branch preference

Availability of vacancies

Order in the merit list

Details of 665 recommendations

AFCAT (Male) - 399

AFCAT (Male–AE Branch only) - 40

NCC Special Entry (Male) - 16

AFCAT (Female) - 185

AFCAT (Female–AE Branch only) - 12

NCC Special Entry (Female) - 6

Services Entry Commission - 7

How to check the merit list

First of all, go to the official website afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT/.

Under "What's New", click on "Merit Order of all AFSB Recommended Candidates: July 25 Course".

Now the list will open on the screen.

Press Ctrl + F to find your name in it and enter your roll number.

Download and save the list for future reference.
