A new affordable SUV has been entered in India. Nissan india Has launched the CNG version of its popular sub-compact SUV Magnite. Nissan Magnite CNG has emerged as a perfect option for customers who are looking for a great look, better mileage and budget-friendly SUV.

Price and variants

The initial price of Nissan Magnite CNG is Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV is available in six petrol variants-from base model XE to mid-spec XV. With this, buyers can choose the appropriate variants as per their budget and need.

What is Retrofit CNG option?

This is not a separate model, but the CNG kit will be installed at the dealer level in the current 1.0-liter petrol engine. This kit is being provided by the Motozen company and will be installed in the government -recognized fitment centers.

Features and Engine Performance

The Magnite CNG will get a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 72PS power and 96Nm torque. Although Power in CNG mode may be slightly reduced, its mileage is 24 km/kg, which makes it the most economical SUV in the segment. At the same time, the mileage of petrol variants is between 17.9 to 19.9 km/liter.

Not the option of turbo-cng

At present, Nissan has not given the option of Turbo-CG engine. Currently only Tata Nexon CNG comes with the turbo engine.

Which states will get availability?

Initially this SUV will be available in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Karnataka. Its booking starts from 1 June 2025. The company is planning to expand it across the country in the coming time.

Benefit deal in the long run

The CNG version costs around ₹ 75,000 more than the petrol model, but this difference can soon compensate due to better mileage and low running cost. “It can be a great option for those who are looking for stylish and powerful SUVs in low fuel expenses.”
