IPL 2025: Kyle Jamieson bowls wicket-maiden in low-scoring Qualifier 1 against RCB (Source: IPL)
bowled a rare maiden over during Qualifer 1 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Thursday, May 29. It was the fourth over of the run-chase in which the Kiwi attained the feat.
His second over (RCB's fourth) comprised the wicket of Virat Kohli too. The star batter was dismissed for a run-a-ball 12 after poking at a back-of-a-length delivery to hand Josh Inglis a relatively straightforward catch. Four deliveries were bowled to RCB's Impact Player, Mayank Agarwal.
Jamieson became the seventh bowler to have conceded no runs in an over this IPL. Mukesh Kumar is another player who has previously bowled a maiden over against RCB in this edition. He had finished with figures of 1/26 in three overs in a game which Delhi Capitals won by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Speaking of the game, were completely outplayed by RCB with bat and ball. The hosts could never really get going with the bat. Regular fall of wickets meant that PBKS could never really forge a substantial partnership. They ended up getting rolled over for 101 in 14.1 overs. Marcus Stoinis (26 off 17) was the only batter who crossed the 20-run mark.
Coming to the run-chase, Phil Salt's power-packed onslaught snatched any form of hope for PBKS. He ended up unbeaten on 56 off 27 deliveries. Jamieson (1/27 in three overs) and Musheer Khan (1/27 in two overs) picked up a wicket each. The Shreyas Iyer-led outfit will have a second chance at making the final when they play the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 on Sunday, June 1.
