Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam franchise has churned out two successful movies and its production house has greenlit the third movie, Drishyam 3.

Panorama Studios wrote a letter to Bombay Stock Exchange, mentioning that they will be starting a film Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn.

Abhishek Pathak, who directed Drishyam 2, will also be directing the third part.

Earlier, reports had stated that Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 will be a remake of Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 and that is why some people are sceptical about the movie.

The first Drishyam film revolves around Vijay and his family, who find themselves in deep trouble after accidentally killing the son of a high-ranking police officer played by Tabu.

Relying on his sharp mind and strategic thinking, Vijay manages to stay ahead of the police and protect his family. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta, the film performed moderately well in theatres but gained massive popularity after its release on digital platforms.

One of the most iconic moments — the family’s alibi involving eating pav bhaji on October 2 — became a cult favourite among fans.

These elements contributed to Drishyam 2 getting a thunderous opening, with Akshaye Khanna’s entry adding a fresh and intriguing twist to the sequel.
