Mumbai, May 30: Veteran actor Venkatesh Daggubati is gearing up to return as the unpredictable and rebellious Naga Naidu in the upcoming season of 'Rana Naidu.'
In a recent interview, Venkatesh shared his thoughts on the character, stating, “While Naga is indeed unpredictable, his deep love for family resonates with me. We both cherish our families, but that’s where our similarities end.”
He elaborated, “The only trait Venky and Naga share is their familial devotion. Beyond that, I am quite predictable, whereas Naga thrives on chaos.”
Venkatesh made a clear distinction between himself and his character, saying, “I prefer order and stability, while Naga is all about drama. I don’t engage in mind games, but Naga is full of surprises, making it hard to anticipate his next move.”
He described the dynamic of his character, noting, “With Naga, there’s always an underlying tension. He keeps you on your toes.”
'Rana Naidu Season 2' is set to premiere on June 13 on Netflix. This action crime drama, directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, is an official adaptation of the American series 'Ray Donovan.' The show features a talented cast, including Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati, Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra, and Surveen Chawla, and first debuted on March 10, 2023.
Venkatesh began his acting career with 'Kaliyuga Pandavulu' in 1986 and has since become a household name with numerous hits like 'Srinivasa Kalyanam,' 'Brahma Puthrudu,' and 'Kshana Kshanam.' His performances in films such as 'Swarnakamalam,' 'Coolie No. 1,' and 'Drushyam 2' have earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base.
