Independent filmmaker Abhinav Singh has accused cinematographer Pratik Shah , known for his work on projects such as Jubilee, CTRL, and Homebound, of abusive and inappropriate behaviour. The filmmaker shared an Instagram story stating that many women had contacted him to reveal incidents of Shah’s misconduct. Amid the allegations, Shah’s Instagram account is now inactive.

Abhinav Singh took to Instagram to publicly raise concerns about Pratik Shah’s conduct. In his post, Abhinav issued a warning to his female friends, urging them to exercise caution around the cinematographer. He also requested that anyone who had experienced inappropriate behaviour from Shah should reach out to him.
He later shared a note on Instagram, saying, “The number of women who’ve reached out to me is honestly frightening. I feel like I’m having a Margot Robbie moment from Bombshell. I will not be silenced. And to those who are still employing him – f**k you. His name is Pratik Shah. He’s a cinematographer.”

Abhinav further added, “I’ve spoken out, and now I’m hearing from others — people who’ve felt silenced or sidelined. It’s heartbreaking. The patterns are undeniable. Many have called him a predator.”
Srishti Riya's statement
Filmmaker and writer Srishti Riya Jain also addressed the issue through her Instagram stories, sharing screenshots and referencing claims that Pratik Shah has allegedly exhibited inappropriate behaviour over the past four years. According to Srishti, multiple Reddit posts accuse him of habitually messaging women.

“To everyone pretending to act shocked, scandalised, and suddenly awakened from their slumber… THIS man worked on one of the ‘most empathetic’ films of the year — or so the interviews at Cannes claimed,” she commented.
Pratik Shah’s Instagram account is currently inaccessible, as it appears the cinematographer has deactivated it amidst the controversy.
