Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani was seen praying quite religiously during the IPL 2025 high-stakes Eliminator match against the Gujarat Titans on Friday in Mullanpur. A video of the same surfaced on social media as Nita was seen spotting sitting alongside her son Akash Ambani to enjoy the action at the venue.
Mumbai Indians, who won the toss and opted to bat first, delivered a stellar batting performance to get to 228/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. Rohit Sharma led the way with a 50-ball 81 as his opening partnership of 80 with Jonny Bairstow (47 off 22 deliveries) set the tone for the steep total. Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav also played crucial cameos to the cause. Rohit was notably gifted two lives by Kusal Mendis and Gerald Coetzee in back-to-back overs.

Meanwhile, the toss went in favour of the Mumbai Indians and Hardik Pandya opted to bat first. With Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks returning home for international duty, Jonny Bairstow and Richard Gleeson made their debuts for the Mumbai Indians. Additionally, Raj Angad Bawa replaced the injured Deepak Chahar.
The Titans triggered two changes to their XI, bringing in Mendis for Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar for Arshad Khan, respectively.
