According to Manorama News, Unni Mukundan has submitted a formal complaint to the Kochi police , alleging that he has been receiving death threats . The actor has also escalated the matter to the state’s Director General of Police (DGP), citing threats to both his personal safety and professional life. According to the report, Unni stated that he received a threatening phone call two weeks ago. In his complaint, Unni alleged that he has been advised to remain vigilant due to Vipin and was warned about women who might attempt to file false complaints against him.

Vipin Kumar remains resolute and has made counter-allegations against the actor. He told the publication that the police are currently examining CCTV footage related to the case.
