This week’s highly anticipated concerts at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park—featuring Shakira , Jason Aldean, and Brooks & Dunn—have been abruptly cancelled just hours before the first show was set to begin. The official Fenway Concerts account announced the news via X and Instagram, citing "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason for scrapping Shakira’s May 29 show and Aldean and Brooks & Dunn’s May 30 performance. Refunds are being offered to ticket holders at their original point of purchase.

While no official explanation has been issued publicly, People reports that Boston Inspectional Services shut down the shows due to structural concerns. “During a routine pre-show check, structural elements were found to be below safety standards,” a source revealed, adding that all crew members remained unharmed.

Online speculation pointed to problems with stage construction, with one commenter claiming the stage roof buckled while attempting to support a large screen.
