Leena Gandhi Tiwari has bought two ultra-luxury units on the 32nd to 35th floors of this property at a rate of Rs 2.83 lakh per sqft. The registration was done this week and she has paid around Rs 63.9 crore in stamp duty and GST alone. Worli has now become a major hub for premium housing in the country and this deal proves the strength of its luxury real estate market.

Who is Leena Tiwari?

Leena Gandhi Tiwari is the granddaughter of Vitthal Gandhi, the founder of USV Limited. The company was started in 1961 in collaboration with Revlon. According to Forbes, her real-time net worth as of May 29, 2025 is $3.9 billion and she is the 964th richest person in the world. Her wealth is also more than that of Nykaa's Falguni Nayar and Biocon's Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.

Owner of a pharmaceutical company

USV is a leading pharmaceutical company that manufactures medicines for diabetes, heart disease, biosimilar injections and active pharma ingredients. The company's revenue is around $511 million. Leena's husband Prashant Tiwari, who is educated from IIT and Cornell, plays an important role in the company's operations. In 2019, he donated Rs 34 crore for social work.

Worli's popularity is due to its excellent location. It is close to Bandra, Nariman Point and is connected to new infrastructure projects like Sea Link Extension.
