PTC News Desk: Tesla CEO Elon Musk once again drew headlines but this time for his appearance at the White House farewell event prompting a series of questions and curiosity. 

South African-born tech magnate had a pretty simple explanation that the injury is a result of playful moment with his five-year old son X. 

"I was just horsing around with lil' X, and I said, 'go ahead punch me in the face,'" 53-year-old Musk told reporters when asked how he got the shiner.

"And he did. Turns out even a five-year-old punching you in the face actually is..." he added, before tailing off. "I didn't really feel much at the time but I guess it bruises up."

Tesla CEO further clarified though he didn’t really feel the punch in the moment however it resulted in a bruise later on. 

The light-hearted exchange took place during farewell event hosted at the Oval office marking Musk’s departure from his formal cost-cutting role within the Trump administration.
