Google's premium smartphone Pixel has recently been facing the problem of fast battery drain, which is believed to be due to the Instagram app. Many Android users on Reddit and other tech forums complained that the Instagram app is draining the phone's battery very fast, even when the app is not in use.
Instagram confirmed, a new update released.
According to Google's official support page, this problem was caused by a special version of Instagram. To fix this bug, the new version build 382.0.0.49.84 is now available on Google Play Store. Google's advisory said, "Starting today, Instagram is releasing an updated app that will fix the battery drain issue on Android devices." However, it is not clear which Android versions or non-Pixel phones were affected, but this problem has been seen most in Pixel phones.
