These services are easily available in big cities, but in remote areas, sometimes only one or two operators work. In such a situation, if there is any problem in the network or service, then the users have to face serious trouble. Usually, users first complain to their service provider, but many times the companies do not respond to the complaints in time or do not resolve them. Now the relief is that you can complain about such irresponsible telecom operators directly to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, and get a quick solution.

How does DoT provide quick resolution?

In March and April 2025, DoT performed well in terms of resolving complaints.

Example of BSNL: The network was down due to a fault in the UBR cable of a BSNL 4G tower in a remote village. After receiving the complaint by DoT, BSNL immediately investigated and restored the service within a few days.

Case of Airtel: A user from Agra repeatedly complained about the poor internet service of Airtel Air Fiber but there was no solution. After complaining to DoT, Airtel took immediate action and resumed internet service.

Complete the process to complain to DoT (Step-by-Step Guide)

If you also have a complaint and the telecom company is not responding, then you can complain to DoT in the following way:

Visit CPGRAMS portal, website link: https://pgportal.gov.in
If you are using the website for the first time, first create an account and register yourself.

Click on the 'Lodge Public Grievance' option on the homepage.

Select the 'Telecommunications' category to send your complaint to the right department.

After choosing the main category, choose the next level category, such as network problem, billing, service activation, slow internet or call drop.

Give all the details related to the complaint. If you have any files like screenshots, bills, or old complaint numbers, then upload them as well.

After submitting the complaint, it will be forwarded to the concerned authorities. Usually, a solution is found within a few days.
