New Delhi . There are going to be some important changes in International Cricket from June 1. White Ball and Red Ball Cricket are going to change many rules. This will make the game even more exciting. Old balls will be used in ODI cricket. The rule of the Convention Substitute will be changed. Apart from this, some new system is also going to be seen regarding DRS. The rules to catch on boundary line are also being changed.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, now 50 overs will not be used in ODI cricket. For the past several years, new balls were used from both ends. In this way, the balls were just 25 overs old for 50 overs, which did not help in reverse swing, but according to the new rules that are implemented from July 2025, two balls will be used for 17-17 overs, but only one ball will be used from the 35th over, which will be selected by the fielding team and its captains. The ICC has given such information to the member countries. If the match is of 25 overs or less then the same ball will be used in an innings.

Some changes are also being made in the Constitution Substitute Rules. The teams will have to mention the names of five convention replacement players to the match referee before the match starts. These will be one wicketkeeper, a batsman, a seam bowler, a spinner and an all -rounder. If a player suffers during a head injury, he will be replaced with the same type of player. Till now this rule has been misused, in which even the batsman used to come on the field when the bowler was injured. Match referee can relax this.

The situation regarding the boundary line and DRS will soon be clear what changes are to be done in them. These rules will be applicable after the final of the World Test Championship 2025 in Test cricket, when the Test series will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from 17 June. At the same time, new rules in ODI International cricket will be applicable from July, when ODI series will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The ODI series will start in Colombo from July 2.
