The M5 is seeing severe delays following a crash during the night in which three people were killed.

Two adults in their 40s and a teenager travelling in a white BMW died. A second child was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

An air ambulance was called to the collision.

The incident occurred between Junction 13 in Stroud and Junction 14 in Thornbury. All emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended the scene.

National Highways South West added: "Due to the nature of the incident, the road will remain closed for a while."
