Netflix has shared a new Wednesday Season 2 video preview, highlighting the first six minutes of the first episode, and also confirming more of the show’s cast.

What happens in the new Wednesday video?

To close out Netflix’s Tudum event, the company showed off the first six minutes of Season 2, Episode 1. The Wednesday Season 2 video preview features Wednesday Addams mastering her psychic abilities and going up against a serial killer called the Kansas City Scalper, played by Haley Joel Osment.

Wednesday Season 2 will be divided into two parts, with the first part debuting on August 6 and the second on September 3.

“Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await,” reads the official logline for Season 2. “This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega in the titular role of Wednesday Addams, and also stars Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, and more.

The next installment will also introduce new cast members Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Anthony Michael Hall, with Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga. The Back to the Future vet originally portrayed Fester Addams in the original live-action movies, where he co-starred alongside Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá.

The coming-of-age supernatural comedy is executive produced and directed by Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride), with Ortega now set as a producer for Season 2.
