New Delhi . A big update has emerged about the upcoming mission of Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the sky -prone group of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The report stated that he will experiment to microscopic gravity at the International Space Station (ISS). According to ISRO’s official statement, 7 microgravity experiments have been selected. These have been proposed by Indian researchers from various national research and development laboratories, educational institutions. These experiments will be focused on areas such as human health, biology, matters, development of new drugs and biotechnology.
According to the report, Shubhanshu Shukla is going to do many types of experiments in this mission starting on June 8. These include the effect of radiation of space on microalgy and the growth of salad seeds in space. Also, small organisms called tardigrade will also be assessed by survival in space and reproduction, effects of supplements on muscle development and increase of seeds of food crops. ISS facilities will be used in all these experiments and they will be taken there only after strict investigation.
How special is the mission for ISRO
This mission is very special for ISRO, as an Indian astronaut will go to ISS for the first time. Shubhanshu Shukla will be the second Indian to go to space after Rakesh Sharma in 1984. The mission will also include Slavos Uznanski-Visnievski of Europe and Tibor Kapu of Hungary. The mission will be commanded by former NASA astronaut Pegi Whitson. Group Captain Prasant Balakrishnan Nair will be a backup pilot. In such a situation, the eyes of the whole world including India will be on this mission of ISRO and ISS.
