One piece originally belonged to the guest's great-great-grandfather, and another belonged to his dad and was from the 1970s. They began with the earlier timepiece, as Ben shared that it was a . He explained: "So, the Prince came in three or four different colours-yellow gold, rose gold or silver, and stainless steel."
He added that there was the slightest bit of "wear and tear" on the dial. The expert noted: "He, presumably, must have bought it when he was of a certain age?" The father of the guest replied to say that their relative had been in his 50s when making the purchase. They added: "It was £21 when it was bought."
The professional evaluator was pleased to see that the spectacular item came with the original paperwork, as he said it was "important and rare to have".
Moving on to the second watch, Ben confirmed that it was a Rolex Submariner, which the guest shared that he had purchased for just £250 while in Singapore. Once again, the watch came with original paperwork and its box as the expert declared that he had "the full set".
It was then time for the professional to deliver some very good news. He announced: "We now have to talk about value. So, at auction, the Rolex Prince is going to be between £3,000 and £4,000."
As if the news couldn't get any better, he then added: "The Submariner, it's in great condition. All in all, the full ensemble at auction is easily £8,000 to £12,000."
The item-owners seemed to be absolutely stunned as they smiled in delight but barelt responded as they were left speechless. "Thank you for brining them," said Ben as he rounded up his valuation.
