Milk is considered beneficial for health, but it can also be harmful for some people. Drinking milk should be avoided in conditions like lactose intolerance, allergies, skin problems, weak digestion and PCOS.
Milk is often called a complete diet because it contains nutrients like protein, calcium, vitamin D and B12. But milk is not beneficial for everyone. Some people have such a physical condition and digestive system that drinking milk can be harmful for them. Even though milk is considered a symbol of strength, it is not the same for every body. Consume milk only after understanding the need and reaction of your body.
Who should not drink milk:
5 disadvantages of milk
1. People with Lactose Intolerance
What happens: Some people's bodies do not produce the lactase enzyme, which is needed to digest the lactose (sugar) present in milk.
Disadvantages: Stomach bloating, gas, diarrhea or cramps may occur immediately after drinking milk.
Suggestion: Such people can use lactose-free milk or plant-based milk

2. Milk Allergy
What happens: This is different from lactose intolerance. The body reacts to the milk proteins (casein or whey) as foreign substances.
Symptoms: Skin rash, shortness of breath, vomiting, stomach pain or sometimes anaphylactic shock (fatal allergic reaction).
Who gets it: Mostly children, but some adults too.
3. May Aggravate Acne
The hormones and proteins present in milk (especially skimmed milk) can cause acne in some people by increasing hormonal imbalances.
If someone is having problem of pimples repeatedly, then he can stop taking milk for 1-2 weeks and see the difference.
4. If the digestive system is weak then milk becomes poison (Weak Digestion Issues)
When people with weak digestion drink cold milk at night, they face problems like stomach gas, indigestion, acidity etc.
According to Ayurveda, milk should be taken at the right time, in the right way and with the right food combination.
5. Weight gain or loss in PCOD/PCOS (Not Ideal for PCOS/Obesity)
Milk contains saturated fats and hormones, which can cause weight gain.
For women who have PCOD/PCOS, milk can increase insulin resistance and hormonal imbalance in the body.
Suggestion:
If it is necessary to drink milk, then you can drink lukewarm milk by adding turmeric or ginger.
Or instead of milk, drink curd, buttermilk, cheese or plant based milk.
