A Secret Service whistleblower has purportedly revealed that former was so disorientated within the White House he would "get lost in his closet," according to outspoken Senator Josh Hawley's accusations.
Hawley alleged that are covering up what could be one of the most significant scandals in presidential history regarding Biden's supposed cognitive struggles.
"This Secret Service whistleblower actually was assigned to Biden," Hawley disclosed during an interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity.
"He told me that Biden used to get lost in his closet in the mornings at the White House," Hawley asserted, noting his discussions with numerous Secret Service members while looking into assassination attempts on
Although Hawley insists on these claims, no additional evidence supports Biden's reported confusion in his closet. The senator is known for his staunch support of Trump and quickly backed the contested notion of a rigged victory in the 2020 election against Biden, reports the
These statements coincide with recent survey results indicating that close to half of the American public doubt Donald Trump's honesty concerning his health status.
"I mean, the guy literally stumbling around in the White House residence couldn't find his way out of his own closet," continued Hawley in criticism. "The president of the United States. This is outrageous. We were lied to," he exclaimed.
The matter has sparked numerous Republican-led congressional probes into Biden's mental fitness and the extent to which his team may have influenced governance.
Hawley blasted the situation on Friday, venting his frustration that the "American people could see" Biden's decline while being "systematically lied to by the Biden White House [and] by the media.
"Now we've got to get the facts," he asserted, labelling the scandal as "a huge stain" on America.
"It's amazing we survived it, to be honest with you."
The questions surrounding Biden's health and how White House staff have been handling it has become a focal point in a new book by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson.
When probed Friday about queries on his mental and physical fitness, Biden responded with a grin and bantered with the reporter, saying: "You can see I'm mentally incompetent and I can walk and I can beat the hell out of both of them,".
Addressing those Democrats sceptical of his decision to initially seek re-election, he challenged: "Why didn't they run against me then? Because I'd have beaten them."
House Oversight Committee Chairman, James Comer (R-Ky. ), is scrutinising whether Biden's aides used an autopen to authorise White House directives and pardons unbeknownst to the president himself.
Comer has also sought the testimony of Dr. Kevin O'Connor, Biden's physician at the White House, as part of the inquiry. The chairman suggests that O'Connor may not have fully disclosed the truth regarding Biden's health to the public following the president's regular check-ups.
In the meantime, Senators Eric Schmitt and John Cornyn are preparing to conduct a hearing on Biden's mental decline next month.
