Vikram Sugumran, a well-known director of the Tamil film industry, has died at the age of 47. On Sunday, suddenly he lost his life due to cardiac arrest. This incident happened when he was returning to Chennai from Madurai and traveling in the bus. Due to his death, a wave of mourning has raged in the industry and all the stars are paying tribute to him on social media.

According to media reports, Vikram Sugumaran was returning to Chennai from Madurai, where he was coming back after narrating a new script to a producer. During this, he suddenly felt severe chest pain, after which he was admitted to the nearest hospital. However, despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved and died.
Vikram Sugumaran was born in Parmakudi in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. He started his film career in the mentorship of Tamil film industry veteran director Balu Mahendra. Vikram also contributed to the field of short film and worked as an assistant in projects like ‘Julie Ganpati’.
Vikram Sugumran got a special recognition from his directorial debut ‘Madh i.e. Kotam’. This film not only made a place in the hearts of cinema lovers, but also praised critics. His directorial venture ‘Ravana Kottam’ (2023) was in Shantanu Bhagyaraj in the lead role, although the film was not much successful at the box office.
Vikram Sugumaran was recently working in his next project ‘Theram Boram’.
