Manushi Chhillar's Inspiring Journey

Mumbai, June 2: Manushi Chhillar, who gained fame as Miss World 2017, recently shared her remarkable journey from winning the title to her current role as a judge at the prestigious Miss World event.

In her reflections, Manushi discussed how the pageant significantly impacted her life and the vital role she now plays in mentoring and inspiring future contestants. Her evolution from a winner to a mentor represents a full-circle moment, underscoring her ongoing dedication to the ideals and mission of the Miss World organization.

Chhillar expressed her thoughts, stating, “The essence of Miss World is 'Beauty with a Purpose.' I was just a 20-year-old with a vision during my reign. I brought a project to the Miss World competition as a contestant. I still recall Gem's words, 'Isn't it better to light one candle in the dark than to not see at all?' This embodies the mission of Miss World. The remarkable women we see on stage are not merely here to be admired; they are here to inspire change.”

Sharing her judging experience on Instagram, she wrote, “From once being crowned to now judging the competition, I feel honored to return to the Miss World stage. It’s challenging to be on either side, but I felt both nervous and excited for the contestants! It reminded me of my own journey. An unforgettable night filled with beauty, purpose, and empowerment. @missworld #MissWorld2025 #FullCircleMoment #BeautyWithAPurpose.”

Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World in 2017 after representing Haryana in the Femina Miss India contest, where she won the Femina Miss India World title. She became the sixth Indian to win the Miss World crown after a 17-year hiatus.

She made her acting debut as Sanyogita in the historical film “Samrat Prithviraj” and has since appeared in the comedy-drama “The Great Indian Family” and the action drama “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.”
