Deonna Purrazzo has not appeared on AEW Dynamite or Collision in the early months of 2025, following a string of defeats on television. This situation has left fans of All Elite Wrestling questioning her status backstage after her much-anticipated debut last year. Although she hasn't done anything wrong, it seems the skilled wrestler has been sidelined from AEW's main shows due to a lack of direction from the creative team.
Recently, a fan reached out on Twitter, inquiring if Purrazzo would be attending AEW Dynamite, asking, “Are you pulling up to Dynamite tonight?” In a sarcastic reply, she suggested she might show up during the picture-in-picture segments, stating, “During picture in picture, probably.”
Purrazzo's response hinted at her frustration with AEW's failure to feature her on screen. Another prominent female wrestler in AEW, Thunder Rosa, reacted with laughter, adding a humorous twist to the situation.
This tweet follows reports indicating that Purrazzo has previously made suggestions to AEW about her return to programming, but there are currently no creative plans for her. Her last appearance on AEW television was on February 26, where she faced defeat against Harley Cameron.
Despite her absence from AEW, the former TNA/Impact Knockouts Champion is set to continue her wrestling career on the independent circuit. She is scheduled to compete at the 'Puerto Rican Weekend' event on June 7th at the NYC Arena in Queens, New York, where she will face Karissa Rivera, formerly known as Elektra Lopez, marking her first match after leaving WWE.
In addition to her wrestling commitments, Purrazzo is actively involved in community service. She and her husband, Steve Maclin, participated in honoring 9/11 victims and veterans. On June 1, they took part in the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's 2025 Tower Climb NYC, which allowed participants to ascend all 104 stories of the One World Trade Center in New York City, paying tribute to the victims of the tragedy.
