Drivers are facing rush hour travel chaos on the M62 with a crash involving three vehicles sparking "severe delays".

The crash involved "two cars and a van" on the M62 eastbound between junction 11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) to junction 12 M60 J11 (Eccles Interchange), according to traffic management system Inrix. All lanes were reportedly closed on the eastbound carriageway, with traffic stretching back to junction 10.
