Recently, a controversy broke out between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Deepika Padukone. Deepika left the director's film 'Spirit', after which Sandeep Reddy Vanga targeted the actress on social media without naming anyone. After Deepika left the film, the 'Animal' director took a dig at the actress's demands in a post on X and also said that she is pulling down the new face of the film - Tripti Dimri.

Amidst the discussions going on on social media, claims are being made that Deepika had made some special demands to be a part of the film. Deepika Padukone, who became a mother last year, along with demanding only 8 hours of shooting, according to reports, the actress had demanded a fee of Rs 20 crore for the film and a share in the profit of the film. Many stars supported Deepika.

Amidst all this, a debate has started in Bollywood on 8-hour shifts and work-life balance. Many stars of the industry including Ajay Devgan, Kajol, and Radhika Apte have come forward and supported Deepika Padukone. Ajay Devgan said that this demand is right for the honest filmmakers of Bollywood and this demand has been respected for many years.

Mani Ratnam supported Deepika Padukone

Now in this matter, veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam has also come out in support of actress Deepika Padukone. In a recent statement, he called the actress's demand justified. He says, 'I think it is a legitimate demand. I am happy that she is in a position to ask for it. As a filmmaker, you will keep this in mind when you do casting. This is not an unreasonable demand, but an extremely important need. You have to accept it, understand it, and work accordingly.

In this context, Radhika Apte, who became a mother some time ago, also said in her interview that it is very difficult for a new mother to work in Bollywood. The Hindi film industry does not adjust to new mothers.
