Bihar Monsoon: This year, the monsoon made a record by arriving in Kerala before time. This gave hope to the entire country including Bihar that this year heavy monsoon rains will start before time in all the states. But the pace of monsoon has changed before entering Bihar. In a way, monsoon has stopped on the border of Bihar. However, during the last 48 hours, there has been strong wind along with rain and lightning in some districts of the state and on Monday also there is an alert of thunderstorm and rain in more than a dozen districts. Even after this, according to the data of the Meteorological Department, we will have to wait for a long time for the monsoon.
According to the Meteorological Department, the possibility of monsoon arriving in Bihar before time has been dashed due to the sudden speed of the westerly winds. In such a situation, now the monsoon can enter the state only between 12 and 15 June, i.e., its scheduled time. It is a matter of relief that this time there can be more rainfall than the average in the month of June. It is estimated that about 59.1 mm of rain falls in June. According to the department, monsoon enters Bihar via Kishanganj, Purnia and Katihar. For the last four days, the monsoon has stopped near the border area of Bihar. The main reason for this is that the speed of monsoon has stopped due to strong westerly winds blowing in the state.
Orange alert and yellow alert issued
Patna Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert for 12 districts for the next 24 hours from Monday. West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur and Vaishali are included in this. There is a possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms and lightning in these areas. In such a situation, people have been asked to be cautious. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining 26 districts of the state. Light to moderate rain and winds at a speed of 40 km / hour can occur here.
Changes in temperature too
Due to rain and storm water in the state, the temperature can also be affected. In most of the districts, the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 34 to 36 degrees. At the same time, the minimum temperature is likely to be above normal i.e. between 28 to 30 degrees. Earlier in the month of May, on May 15, the temperature of Dehri reached 43.6 degrees Celsius, which was the highest temperature in the state this season. The highest temperature in Patna was 41.5 degrees on May 10.
