The majority of the crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad were supporters of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise. However, after watching their team falter against Punjab Kings (PBKS) following a modest total of just 190 runs on the board in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final, the stadium fell silent.

But Romario Shepherd brought the crowd back to life by dismissing the dangerous PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer for just 1 run. The stadium erupted in cheers, and fans online began hoping for a miracle victory for RCB. 

Interestingly, Shreyas Iyer has faced RCB four times this season — and failed to reach double digits in all four matches.

Seeing the most dangerous batter for PBKS depart so cheaply got netizens talking. Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to speak about how his wicket was so very important if RCB needed to win this match.
