RCB fans, known for their passionate and loyal support, couldn’t stop chanting the beloved phrase 'Ee Saal Cup Namdu' as Virat Kohli and his team lifted the coveted trophy. The win was a culmination of years of near misses and emotional rollercoasters for one of the league’s most followed franchises.

Meaning of ‘Ee Sala Cup Namdu’

The chant ‘Ee Sala Cup Namdu’ is in Kannada, the official language of Karnataka, where RCB is based. It literally translates to “This year, the cup is ours” in English. Over time, the slogan has become the rallying cry of RCB fans an evolution from the hopeful ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ (“This year, the cup will be ours”) to a declaration of triumph.

Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first, aiming to put early pressure on RCB’s top order. Their bowlers did a commendable job, restricting Bengaluru to 190/9. Virat Kohli once again anchored the innings with a gritty 43 off 35 balls, while Rajat Patidar, the RCB captain, added a brisk 26 off 16.

Among Punjab’s bowlers, Arshdeep Singh stood out with three wickets in the final over, ending with figures of 3/40. Kyle Jamieson also chipped in with 3/48, while Yuzvendra Chahal kept things tight in the middle overs with 1/37.

In response, Punjab got off to a solid start but faltered under pressure after the Powerplay. RCB’s bowlers struck at key moments, never letting the momentum slip. Krunal Pandya was the standout performer with the ball, delivering a match-winning spell of 2/17 in four overs, helping RCB hold Punjab to 184/7.
