The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2025 results were declared on June 2, with over 54,000 candidates clearing the highly competitive exam for admission to IITs. While Rajit Gupta from Kota secured the top rank, the students of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) stole the spotlight by setting remarkable records in this year’s exam.

Impressive Performance by Navodaya Students

A total of 3,503 NVS students appeared in JEE Advanced 2025, out of which 1,189 successfully cleared the exam. This group includes 971 boys and 218 girls. Considering that 54,378 candidates cleared the exam overall, the pass percentage of NVS students is around 0.50%, likely the highest from any single educational institution in JEE Advanced 2025.

Strong Showing in Reserved Categories

Navodaya students have also excelled in reserved categories. Among the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) quota, 113 NVS candidates appeared, with 34 qualifying. Impressively, 13 NVS students from the PWD category ranked in the top 100.

In the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 1,455 candidates appeared, and 565 passed, including 3 NVS students among the top 100 rankers. Similarly, in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, out of 769 candidates, 216 passed, with 4 students from Navodaya featuring in the top 100.

Overall Exam Stats

More than 1.8 lakh candidates appeared for JEE Advanced 2025. Rajit Gupta topped the exam with a score of 332 marks, while among girls, Devdatta Majhi led with an impressive All India Rank of 16.

This stellar performance by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti students highlights the institution’s significant role in nurturing talent across India, inspiring many aspirants to achieve excellence despite challenges.
